Lip!

So I had the granuloma removed today.  We won't actually know for sure if it was a granuloma until I get the pathology report at my follow-up appt next Thursday, but anyway, it's not on my lip anymore.  The doctor was awesome.  The procedure was super-quick and, even though the local anesthetic wore off very quickly, it doesn't hurt much.  The swelling should go down in a few days, and the stitches should fall out in a week, after which I'll have a slight scar for a few months, but she said if I massage it regularly, by 6 months there should be no scar because lips are very forgiving.  Yay!  "Before" and "after" pictures are here if anyone wants to see them, but "after" is a little unpleasant (plus I can't really smile yet), and "before" is really gross (plus my face is a little distorted from the close-up), so if you click on the link and are grossed out, you have nobody to blame but yourself. Caveat clickor!
