OK, so my bloodwork came back good again, though not quite as high as before, but fine, so the nurse said to stop taking the oral estrogen and check blood again on Sunday (tomorrow). Woohoo! I finally made my first appt with the UNC midwives, which will just be a nurse appt for orientation and so forth. My friend Kim pointed out that having waited so long to make the first appt might put me in the state stats as not having had prenatal care in the first trimester, which cracks me up. I mean, CCRM (the fertility clinic) has been monitoring my situation carefully, I've been on prenatal vitamins since 2005, I've read everything there is to read, and anyway they can't do much of anything for you in the first trimester except tell you to take your vitamins and come back in a month, right? Kim also pointed out that anyone looking at my stats will probably assume that my lack of prenatal care was because I didn't know I was pregnant due to advanced maternal age. Ha! Ha ha ha hee hee hee ho ho hoo! I mean, the advanced maternal age thing is too true, but not know I was pregnant? Very droll. And a nice reminder that correlation is not causation.
Yay for lack of hormones! I mean presence of hormones and lack of having to ingest extra ones. Anyway, YAY! And, holy cow your bean is as big as a lime! That's crazy. The jump from prune to lime strikes me as a big leap. Congrats on getting off the meds. Hope all continues to go well!
